Donald Yance, Jr., CN, MH, RH (AHG), SFO

Donald ("Donnie") Yance founder of the Centre for Natural Healing and The Mederi Foundation, is an internationally known herbalist and nutritionist. He received his herbal training through Sequoia College and is a professional member of the American Herbalists Guild. He was trained as a clinical nutritionist through the National Institute of Nutritional Education and holds certification through the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. He is also professed as a Secular Franciscan (SFO), which equips him with the breadth and wisdom to touch on the spiritual aspects of healing. Through extensive research and clinical practice, Donnie developed his unique Eclectic Triphasicâ„¢ Medical System, which forms the cornerstone of the Centre for Natural Healing's clinical approach. Jonathan Treasure, MA, MNIMH, RH (AHG)
A British trained medical herbalist, Jonathan graduated in medical sciences from Cambridge University UK and in Herbal Medicine from the UK School of Phytotherapy. He is a member of the UK's National Institute of Medical Herbalists and a professional member of the American Herbalists Guild. He is also a Member of the Scientific and Medical Advisory Board of the Life Extension Foundation. Jonathan has extensive experience in integrative oncology, including training as a cancer guide with the Center for Mind Body Medicine. A recognized expert on herb-drug interactions, his approach integrates in depth scientific knowledge of botanicals and nutritional agents with an informed and critical grasp of modern biomedicine.
Michael Altman RH (AHG), CN
An American Herbalists Guild Professional member, Michael learned herbal medicine through the New York Open Center's "Green Medicine" program, HerbPharm's Herbaculture training, and classes and apprenticeships in other venues and countries. He graduated from Emory University in 1990 and is a Certified Nutritionist trained through American Health Sciences University (the National Institute of Nutrition Education). Michael is an adjunct professor of nutrition at Southern Oregon University and the College of the Siskiyous, NorCal, where he teaches nutrition three ways: in person, by teleconference, and over the internet. Michael's approach involves optimizing diet and nutrition utilizing herbs from various healing traditions for short-term symptom control and long-term tonification and homeostasis.
Chanchal Cabrera MSc, MINMH, RH (AHG)
Currently based in British Columbia, Chanchal has been a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists since 1987 She obtained her MSc in herbal medicine at the University of Wales in 2003. Chanchal lectures in Botanical Medicine at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine and serves on the board of advisors of Dominion Herbal College, BC. With a background in orthomolecular nutrition and allergy therapy as well as clinical aromatherapy Chanchal's approach uses a blend of western biomedical and eastern energetic systems to explore health concerns and provides guidance on healthy diets, stress management, and lifestyle issues.
Jason Miller, Lac, MAcOM, CH, CAK
Jason began his study of science and medicine at the University of Minnesota in 1990 where he studied and taught in the College of Biological Sciences until 1995. He completed his undergraduate degree in physical and energy related sciences at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington in 1996. His independent study of herbal medicine began in 1993 after extensive travel throughout Central America and Polynesia where he developed his passion for plants, medicine, and healing. In 2005 Jason received his master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, OR. Later that year he completed a 2 month, post graduate internship in Nanjing, China's "House of Celebrity Doctors". Jason also became a certified Applied Kinesiologist in 2005, and is formally trained in Asian Bodywork therapy which he offers through his clinic, Jade Mountain Medicine in Ashland, OR. Currently, he specializes in the management of cancer, diabetes, and neuromuscular disorders and has been closely mentored by Donald Yance for the past three years. In addition, he serves as the product specialist for Natura Health Products, Inc. where he offers consultations and technical support for Natura's professional clients. Jason is also a member of Natura's Board of Directors, and is on the Scientific Advisory Board for Yance's non-profit foundation, Mederi.
